The Greensboro, NC NDC Branch of Local 305 proudly serves Mail Handlers across the Greensboro area.

Our trained staff and dedicated stewards work hard to protect our craft, uphold our contract, and support each member’s individual concerns. Lakiesha Lewis

Branch President

Lakiesha Lewis is the Branch President of the Greensboro Network Distribution Center (NDC) and Mail Processing Annex facilities in North Carolina where there are approximately 194 Mail Handlers in the facilities.

Lakiesha has been employed with the Postal Service for 20 years and has been a Union member for the same number of years. She became a Union Representative about 9 years ago and has served as an Alternate Steward, Shop Steward, and Chief Steward during those years. As Branch President, Lakiesha's responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring Management adheres to the National Agreement and treats all Mail Handlers with dignity and respect. She is also responsible for overseeing Union activities, handling grievances, and maintaining communication with the members.

Lakiesha firmly believes in listening to the concerns of all Union members and assures representation of all members regardless of background. She encourages all members to get involved in union activities and attend meetings and she will continue to be approachable, assertive, and to act as a voice for all Mail Handlers.

Cynthia Brown

North Carolina State Representative

Cynthia Brown is the State Representative of North Carolina for Local 305, where she performs such duties as assigned by the Local President for the state of North Carolina. Cynthia has worked for the Postal Service for 28 years and has been a union member for all of those 28 years.

Cynthia has been a Union Representative for almost 20 years and has served Union members in both New York and North Carolina. During those years as a Union Representative, she has held numerous positions, as a Shop Steward, Lead Steward, and in addition to currently serving as the State Representative of North Carolina, Cynthia is also a Chief Steward and an Arbitration Advocate.

Cynthia believes that the Union is there to enforce the National Agreement, and as a Union Representative she believes in doing her due diligence to protect and defend all dues paying members.
