
Felandria (Flan) A. Jackson
President
Felandria "Flan" Jackson is the President of Local 305; she is responsible for overseeing nearly 3000 members across 30 facilities and associated offices in Washington, D.C., Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia. Flan has worked for the Postal Service for 30 years and has been a Union member her entire postal career.
Flan became a Union Representative 30 years ago and during that time she served the Union as a Shop Steward, Branch President, and the State Representative of North Carolina. In addition to currently serving as the President of Local 305, Flan is a Representative on several Local Dispute Resolution Committees in her local, as well as an Arbitration Advocate and Trainer for new stewards and advocates.
As a Union representative, Flan believes in quality representation, fostering equality, and advancing the motto "Our Members Are Priority!". She is committed to having a dedicated well-trained staff of arbitration advocates and educating members by educating stewards. Local 305's primary focus remains protecting the craft, policing the contact, and addressing the daily individual needs and concerns of members. Lastly, Flan believes her mission is to restore integrity, solidarity, and respect within the Local Union, believing that "because of you, we are STRONGER TOGETHER!"

Joseph Page
Vice-President
Joseph "Joe" Page is the Vice President of Local 305. His responsibilities are to preside over any regular or special meetings of the Local, the Executive Board or Council in the absence of the Local President. He also performs such other duties as may be assigned by, and work under the supervision, of the Local President. Joe has worked for the Postal Service for approximately 37 years and has been a Union member for 32 of those years.
Joe has been a Union Representative for 26 years and during that time has served the Union as an Alternate Steward, Regular Steward, Chief Steward, Judge of Elections, and Branch President. In addition to his role as the Vice President, Joe is still a Chief Steward and head of Local 305's Task Force.
Joe firmly believes in representing the union members and protecting the rights of all members.

Lafon Robinson
Treasurer
LaFon Robinson is the Treasurer of Local 305 where she oversees all financial matters, this includes budgets, accounting, record keeping, and financial reporting to the membership. She ensures all the Union's funds are used for the benefit of its members. LaFon has worked for the Postal Service for 28 years and has been a Union member for 27 of those years.
LaFon has been a Union Representative for 16 years and during that time she has served in multiple positions: Alternate Steward, Regular Steward, Contract Administrator, and Vice President. In addition to serving as Treasurer for Local 305, she is also an Arbitration Advocate, a member of the Contract Attack Team, and a Trainer for the local.
LaFon believes that no matter how much the members disagree with a union policy or position or even its representatives, just imagine how much worse that Mail Handler craft would be without safeguards. The Union, this Union, it its members' safeguard.

Marcus Anderson
Recording Secretary
Marcus Anderson is the Recording Secretary for Local 305. He is responsible for taking the minutes for all meetings of the Executive Board and Council. He also maintains and provides these minutes as part of the records for the local. Marcus has worked for the Postal Service for almost 24 years and has been a member of the Mail Handler Union for 22 years when he transferred to the Mail Handler craft.
Marcus has been a Union Representative for 21 years, during that time he has served the Union as a Shop Steward and Branch President. Besides currently serving as the Recording Secretary, Marcus is an Arbitration Advocate, a member of Local 305's Contract Attack Team, a member of the Local 305 Task Force, and a trainer for new Shop Stewards.
Marcus firmly believes that the Mail Handler Union is a crucial element in the success of not just the Mail Handler craft, but the Postal service itself. Having a strong Union protects jobs and creates better work environments, salaries, and benefits for employees. He also believes that our Union fights hard to keep the Mail Handler craft a highly desirable occupation for those seeking employment. It is this effort which allows the Postal Service to keep reliable and hardworking people to serve the public, and protect one of the most vital parts of our Nation since its establishment in 1775.

Demetria Spratley
D.C. Representative
Demetria "Mickey" Spratley is the State Representative for the District of Columbia, where she performs such duties as assigned by the Local President for the federal district. Mickey has worked for the Postal Service for 32 years and has been a union member for 30 years.
Mickey became a Union Representative approximately 21 years ago and during those years has served the local in a number of capacities, as a Shop Steward, a Chief Steward, Judge of Elections, an MHBP Representative and while currently serving as the State Representative of D.C., she also serves as Local 305's coordinator for the Mail Handler Benefit Plan (MHBP).
Mickey strongly believes in being a Union member and as a representative for those members it is imperative for someone to advocate for employee rights and protection from unfair treatment; to improve working conditions, wages, and to ensure a safe working environment.
Michael Perry
Maryland State Representative
Michael "Mike" Perry is the State Representative of Maryland for Local 305, where he oversees all issues within the state of Maryland, while also covering those facilities in Maryland where there is no Union representation.
Mike has been a member of Local 305 for 35 years and a Union Representative for 31 years. Mike was a Chief Steward before becoming Maryland's State Representative in 2016 and still serves in that capacity whee he files grievances, if necessary, ensures safe working conditions, and deals with any other contractual issues that may arise.
Mike believes that the Union plays a big role in the USPS whether people believe it or not. The presence of Union officials in a building is a strength in itself, especially for those who never voice their opinions or have ever filed a grievance. Mike feels in many ways he can do for those people who can't do for themselves and thinks that one day he'll be able to look back and see that he has made a change in a member's life, as well as his own.

North Carolina State Representative

Marvin Simpson
Virginia State Representative
Marvin Simpson is the State Representative of Virginia for Local 305, where he performs such duties as assigned by the Local President for the state of Virginia. Marvin has worked for the Postal Service for approximately 29 years and has been a Mail Handler Union member for 27 years.
Marvin became a Union Representative approximately 15 years ago and during those years he has served the local in a number of capacities, Shop Steward, Judge of Elections, Branch President, and currently is an Arbitration Advocate, Contract Attack Team Member, Local 305 Trainer, and a member of the Local 305 Task Force.
Marvin believes that overall, the Union's purpose is to help people, assist them at their most vulnerable moments. Without a Union, employees would not be treated fairly and with equality.

Tim Powers
West Virginia State Representative
Timothy "Tim" Powers is the State Representative of West Virginia for Local 305.His responsibilities and duties are assigned by the Local President as he oversees all issues within West Virginia. Tim has been employed with the Postal Service for 27 years and has always been a Union member.
Tim has been a Union Representative, off and on, for 20 years and during that time has served as a Chief Steward, Branch President, Judge of Elections, an Arbitration Advocate, and as a member of the Contract Attack Team.
Tim firmly believes in Due Process and Just Cause, also, a Fair Days Work for A Fair Days Pay.
