Theodore "Ted" Thomas Jr is the Branch President of the Suburban Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC) in Gaithersburg, Maryland and Area Offices Bethesda-Westlake, Germantown, Rockville-Potomac, Silver Spring, and Takoma Park, also in the state of Maryland, where he represents 92 Mail Handlers.
Ted has been employed with the Postal Service since March 1, 1987 and has been a Union member since that date. For 27 years Ted has represented the Union in some capacity; first as a Shop Steward, then Chief Steward, and now as the Branch President when he was elected in 2016. His responsibilities include but are not limited to representing and protecting all Mail Handler members covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, informing and advising them about the issues they are confronted with daily.
Ted believes it is an honor and appreciation to represent all Mail Handlers with dignity.
