An Invitation to Read the Latest Meeting Minutes

Brothers and Sisters of Local 305,

We are pleased to share a synopsis of our recent meetings to keep everyone informed and engaged in our union's work. The Executive Board and Council meetings, held from April 22-24, 2025, were productive sessions that addressed several key issues impacting our members.

During these meetings, we welcomed several new Council members. The Council also worked to improve our grievance process by participating in a mock job abolishment scenario2. We also reviewed and updated our local by-laws and received a comprehensive financial report.

Additionally, the meetings covered important updates on:

• The "State of the Union" as discussed at the latest SAMLU conference.
• The importance of grieving the delay of collection mail.
• Promoting the 2025 Local 305 Scholarship program.
• The successful open season for the Mail Handlers Benefit Plan (MHBP), which saw increased enrollment across all plan options.
